For years, I was told my pain was normal...
Every month brought excruciating pain, cramping, bloating and fatigue, but my GP told me it was “just part of being a woman.” I left each appointment feeling dismissed, embarrassed, and unheard.

Years later, a routine scan for something else revealed a massive 16cm fibroid - my uterus had grown to the size of a 6-month pregnancy! I was terrified, angry, and heartbroken that my symptoms had been ignored for so long. I was booked in for surgery to remove the blood sucking monster!
After surgery, I assumed that would be it - no more monthly pain, no more exhaustion. Gosh, was I wrong! Even though the fibroids were gone, the painful cycles, cramping and fatigue continued.
There was no post-surgery advice on the dietary or lifestyle changes that could ease monthly pain or help prevent fibroid regrowth. That silence lit a fire in me. I realised there was so little help or information out there - it felt like the healthcare system didn’t really care about women with fibroids. And if I was feeling that lost and dismissed, I knew other women must have been too.

THE TURNING POINT

I dove deep into understanding fibroids, their symptoms, and how lifestyle affects them. That lead me to train and qualify as a Women’s Health & Wellness Coach.
Now, it’s my mission to make sure women with fibroids are finally heard and supported - not ignored, not gaslit or left waiting in pain.
I help women dismissed by doctors or stuck on NHS waiting lists find natural relief from fibroid symptoms with easy-to-follow, sustainable lifestyle changes that ease pain, bloating, fatigue and heavy periods -
without the need for diets or complicated plans to follow.

Over time, I noticed something else. Many of the women I was supporting with fibroids were also in their late 30s, 40s and early 50s, navigating the hormonal changes of perimenopause at the same time.
The symptoms often overlap: fatigue, heavier or irregular periods, weight changes, disrupted sleep, joint stiffness. And just like fibroids, women were being told it was “just hormones” and left to work it out alone.

I now support women with fibroids and women navigating perimenopause symptoms, whether fibroids are part of the picture or not.
